How I got started...
My little girl was born in May of 2009. After nearly nine months of expecting a boy (We waited until the delivery room to find out - and clearly I have no mother's intuition), I was immediately set to the task of finding headbands and bows for my little lady. I had known a few darling baby girls who wore bows, and I swear that knowing one is enough to make any mom want a few bows!
After a few disappointing weeks of looking in stores around town, I found some online bow sources. After ordering a few headbands online, I realized that I had two things that I have otherwise lacked for many years: time & energy :). I decided to do some research, take apart some bows, and order a random list of supplies from various sources. I started making bows for my little girl. I got a little carried away, I think.
Friends and strangers started asking me about her bows. Most people were complimentary. A few laughed (there are bow-haters out there, I know ;)). Some expressed interest in buying some for their daughters/friends/etc.
After a few months of contemplating this possibility, I've decided to go for it. I am now selling my bows!
I will be the first to admit that my ability is nothing special. Many people make beautiful bows for their little girls. I just know that not every mom has the time, energy, or desire to make their own bows. So if you're running low on any of those resources - or if you just want to support my endeavor, go ahead and buy a bow. I don't think you'll be disappointed!
